AVACLIM: Agroecology, ensuring food security and sustainable livelihood while mitigating climate change and restoring land in dryland regions
The project is implemented in 7 countries (Brazil, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, India, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa) to contribute to the development of Agroecology in dry areas.
To enable stakeholders to develop, apply and sustain agroecological approaches in drylands as a means to reduce the growth of greenhouse gas emission in the atmosphere and sustain the productivity of agroecosystems in support of food security and agricultural livelihoods indicators.
To strengthen the sharing of knowledge gained by practitioners in the field, evaluate agroecological initiatives, and implement advocacy based on this scientifically validated assessment and aimed at national and international policy institutions.
