Pillar IV: Supporting and Cementing: Steering, Coordination and Management

Promotion of Ecological Organic Agriculture is a complex and multi-disciplinary process that calls for efficient cooperation and communication among relevant stakeholders at all levels including governments, farmers, civil society, private sector, and the international community. Thus, effective implementation of the EOA Initiative would require strong institutions with effective, functional and responsive administrative systems. This pillar Communication Strategy for Ecological Organic Agriculture brings together components of the pillars aimed at developing capacities of implementing partners and institutions. Activities under this pillar shall contribute to efficient and effective coordination and management of the EOA Initiative at various levels (national, regional and continental networks). It will support the development of the African Organic Network (AFRONET) and the regional as well as national platforms that bring in multi-stakeholders into EOA implementation efforts.
